Head-On Collision on Hwy 35 Proves Fatal
85-year-old William L. Goodson (Marianna, AR) was fatally injured in an accident on Friday, September 22, 2023.
At approximately 10:40 a.m. Mr. Goodson was traveling south on U.S. Highway 79 in Lee County when attempted to make a u-turn. A southbound semi-truck (2015 Mack) traveling behind Mr. Goodson’s vehicle (2015 Toyota Tacoma) attempted an evasive maneuver but was unable to avoid crashing into Mr. Goodson’s Toyota. Mr. Goodson sustained fatal injuries in the crash.
86-year-old Clifton Harris (Marianna, AR) sustained injuries in the collision and was transported to Forrest City Medical Center.
