Wrong Way Vehicle on I-40 Leads to Fatal Wreck
47-year-old Shalonda Looney (Trumann, AR) was fatally injured in an accident that took place on Saturday, March 6, 2021.
Shortly after 6:30 a.m. Ms. Looney was driving west on Highway 69 (Speedway Street) near I-555 and Sideline Road when an eastbound vehicle crossed the centerline. The eastbound vehicle (2001 GMC) struck Ms. Looney’s vehicle (2012 Chrysler) head-on in the westbound lanes of traffic.
29-year-old Jonathan Michael Roberts (Pocahontas, AR) sustained injuries in the collision.
