Fatal Collision on US 79 Near Pine Bluff, AR
18-year-old Jorgia Cole (Edgerton, KS) was fatally injured in an accident on Thursday, January 26, 2023.
At approximately 6:35 p.m. Ms. Cole was the passenger in a vehicle traveling south on I-49 south of Fayetteville. A southbound vehicle (2014 Chevy Malibu) collided with the rear of Ms. Cole’s vehicle (2005 GMC Sierra) causing Ms. Cole’s vehicle to overturn. Ms. Jorgia Cole sustained fatal injuries in the accident.
28-year-old Stewart Sayward (Wesley, AR) was driving the GMC vehicle and sustained injuries in the collision.
Weather conditions were cloudy and road conditions were wet at the time of the accident.
