Wrong Way Vehicle on I-40 Leads to Fatal Wreck
58-year-old John R. Fleming (Van Buren, AR) was fatally injured in an accident that occurred on Monday, December 28, 2020.
At approximately 5:35 p.m. Mr. Fleming was attempting to cross Highway 59 (Fayetteville Road) “in front of the Pic N Tote” when he stepped into the roadway in front of a southbound vehicle (2020 Buick Enclave). Mr. Fleming was struck by the front of the vehicle.
Conditions were reportedly clear and dry.
