Sydney Owens Fatally Struck in Fort Smith
A head-on collision on Highway 7 near Jessieville Tuesday, May 29 killed a Hot Springs man and injured 4 others.
46-year-old Chad E. Moreland of Hot Springs was headed north on State Highway 7 near Jessieville at approximately 2:35 p.m. when his vehicle, a 2011 Cadillac, crossed the centerline and struck a southbound 2013 Hyundai. Mr. Moreland was killed in the accident. The driver of the Hyundai, 46-year-old Tanya Bane of Clarksville was injured along with 3 other passengers, including 46-year-old William Bane and 2 unidentified minors. The injured were transported to St. Vincent’s and Arkansas Children’s Hospital.
Conditions at the time were reportedly clear and dry.
