30-year-old Omar Eduardo Lagos (Jonesboro, AR) was fatally injured in an accident on Friday, February 28, 2025.
At approximately 2:51 p.m. Mr. Lagos was driving north on Highway 1 in Cherry Valley north of Wynne when his vehicle (2000 Chevy S-10) crossed the centerline. Mr. Lagos’ vehicle collided head-on with a southbound vehicle (2023 Chevy Trailblazer) in the southbound lane of traffic. After the initial collision, Mr. Lagos’ vehicle rolled multiple times before coming to a final rest upside down. Mr. Lagos sustained fatal injuries in the accident.
70-year-old Alicia Murphy (Wynne, AR) was driving the southbound vehicle and sustained injuries in the collision.
Additionally, 41-year-old Martin Solano Roque (Jonesboro, AR) was a passenger in the vehicle and sustained injuries.
Those injured were transported to Regional One Medical Center in Memphis, TN.
