Sydney Owens Fatally Struck in Fort Smith

19-year-old Sydney Owens (Fort Smith, AR) was fatally injured in an accident on Tuesday, April 1, 2025.

At approximately 5:28 a.m. Ms. Sydney Owens was cycling south on Towson Avenue in Fort Smith, approaching the intersection with M Street. As Ms. Owens turned south on her bicycle, she was struck by a southbound vehicle (2012 Chevrolet). Ms. Sydney Owens was transported to Baptist Hospital in Fort Smith where she later succumbed to her injuries.
