Wrong Way Vehicle on I-40 Leads to Fatal Wreck
37-year-old Matthew Welch (Little Rock, AR) was fatally injured in an accident that took place on Sunday, September 6, 2020.
At approximately 2:46 p.m. Mr. Welch was seen crossing Interstate 430 from east to west near Kanis Street. Mr. Welch was struck by a northbound vehicle (2005 Toyota Tundra) in the number 2 lane of I-430.
Mr. Welch was transported to Baptist Health Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.
Conditions were reportedly clear and dry.
