Woman Struck on Highway 167 in Cave City
3 drivers were fatally injured in an accident that took place shortly after 8:00 a.m. on Monday, December 10. 39-year-old Eddie Scott (Waldron, AR), 39-year-old Gabe Gryner (Van Buren, AR), and 25-year-old Kalep Davis (Chester, AR) lost their lives in the accident.
At approximately 8:01 a.m. Mr. Eddie Scott was traveling north in a 2015 Peterbilt tractor-trailer on Interstate 540 near mile marker 3. Mr. Scott’s vehicle crossed the median into southbound traffic and struck three vehicles.
Mr. Gryner and Mr. Davis were traveling south on Interstate 540. Mr. Gryner was driving a 2018 Kenworth tractor-trailer. Mr. Davis was driving a 2000 Nissan pickup truck. The 4th vehicle involved, a 2013 Kenworth dump truck, reported no injuries.
Conditions at the time were reportedly clear and dry.
