Head-on Collision Near Big Lake Claims 2 Lives
25-year-old Reinaldo Amaya-Alas (Little Rock, AR) was fatally injured in an accident on Saturday, October 16, 2021.
At approximately 12:45 p.m. Mr. Reinaldo was a passenger in a vehicle (2004 Chevrolet Tahoe) traveling west on Interstate 40 near Carlisle when the vehicle left the roadway to the south before overcorrecting and running off the north side of the roadway. The vehicle spun counterclockwise before overturning multiple times.
27-year-old Edwin Amaya-Alas (Little Rock, AR) sustained injuries in the accident.
