Woman Struck on Highway 167 in Cave City
62-year-old Jimmy Donohew (Maysville, AR) was fatally injured in an accident that took place in Maysville on Friday, February 1, 2019.
At approximately 6:00 p.m. Mr. Donohew was the passenger in a 2014 Dodge vehicle traveling south on Highway 43 just south of Highway 72. 47-year-old Claudie Helmick (Rogers, AR) was driving the vehicle when it ran off the roadway before reentering and crossing the center line into northbound traffic. 38-year-old Shannon Jennings (Southwest City, MO) was traveling north on Highway 43. Mr. Donohew’s and Mr. Helmick’s vehicle struck Ms. Jenning’s vehicle (2016 Kia) before overturning and coming to a rest in the southbound lanes of traffic.
Those injured were transported to the nearby Mercy Hospital and Northwest Medical Center.
Conditions at the time were reportedly clear and dry.
