Staff Spotlight: Kacie Thomas
Kara Spurbeck joined our team in October 2023, starting as a case manager and then advancing to her current role as a disbursement manager. Kara admires the firm’s focus on improving processes to enhance efficiency and understands the importance of staying adaptable. In the Disbursement department, she believes that “teamwork makes the dream work,” especially in a small, close-knit team.
When it comes to a perfect weekend, Kara values time with her family above all else. Whether working around the house, exploring new places, or simply relaxing, any time spent with loved ones is time well spent. Pregnancy has recently made catching up on sleep a priority, but her heart is always set on family.
Since moving to Arkansas, Kara has been surprised by the weather, coming from a place where temperatures are already in the 20s by the holidays. She’s been deeply touched by the warmth of the Arkansas community and is excited to be starting her family in such a welcoming place.
Kara enjoys fishing and golfing, and she often helps her husband with his roofing and exterior business. One of her goals is to take a national parks road trip. Before moving to Arkansas, Kara worked for the Washington State House of Representatives. She describes this experience as an honor, helping constituents and gaining a behind-the-scenes understanding of how legislation is created, something she thinks more people should understand.
Kara describes her experience at Taylor King Law in three words: collaborative, supportive, and educational. Her dedication to continuous learning makes her an invaluable part of the Taylor King Law team!
