Fort Smith Intersection Wreck Proves Fatal on Saturday
85-year-old Donald Lee Schultz (Van Buren, AR) was fatally injured in an accident on Sunday, November 17, 2024.
At approximately 3:45 p.m. Mr. Schultz was traveling north on State Highway 59 in Van Buren when a southbound vehicle (2003 Kia Sorento) crossed the centerline. The southbound vehicle collided head-on with Mr. Schultz’s vehicle (2021 Ford Explorer). Mr. Donald Schultz sustained fatal injuries in the wreck.
53-year-old Shawn Jones (Fort Smith, AR) also sustained injuries in the collision.
Conditions were rainy and road conditions were wet at the time of the accident.
