Head-on Collision Claims the Life of Mark Gibson

67-year-old Mark Gibson (Van Buren, AR) was fatally injured in an accident on Friday, October 7, 2022.

At approximately 3:48 p.m. Mr. Mark Gibson was traveling north on Highway 59 North near Triple Creek Road in Van Buren when a southbound vehicle crossed the center line. The southbound vehicle (2002 Dodge 3500) collided head-on with Mr. Gibson’s vehicle (2013 Chevy Silverado) in the northbound lane of traffic.

Mr. Gibson sustained fatal injuries in the collision. 42-year-old Michael Hale (Canehill, AR) sustained injuries in the collision and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith.
