Construction Worker Fatally Struck on I-30 in Little Rock

69-year-old Winfred Petty (Hensley, AR) was fatally injured in a hit-and-run accident on Tuesday, January 18, 2022.

At approximately 8:15 p.m. Mr. Petty was crossing the westbound lanes of traffic on Interstate 30 in Little Rock putting up construction signs when was struck by a westbound vehicle. Mr. Petty was transported to UAMS in Little Rock where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The accident took place near Scott Hamilton Drive (Exit 134). The vehicle fled the scene but was identified as a black SUV. If you have any information regarding the accident, please contact the Arkansas State Police.
