50-year-old Paul Brungardt (Cave Springs, AR) was fatally injured in an accident on Saturday, February 5, 2022.

Shortly before 9:00 p.m. Mr. Brungardt was traveling on the northbound on-ramp onto Interstate 49 from Sunset Avenue in Springdale when his vehicle (2004 Jeep) lost control in icy conditions. Mr. Brungardt’s vehicle spun onto I-49 facing south where he collided with a northbound 18-wheeler (2007 Kenworth).

Mr. Brungardt was transported to Mercy Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Weather conditions were clear, but road conditions were icy at the time of the accident.
