35-year-old Makesha Golden (Glenwood, AR) was fatally injured in an accident on Tuesday, June 15, 2021.
Shortly before 5:30 p.m. Ms. Golden was a passenger in a vehicle (2007 Dodge Charger) traveling north on Owens Road near Amity. Ms. Golden’s vehicle made a lefthand turn entering State Highway 8 and was struck by an eastbound vehicle (2018 Ford F-150). The eastbound vehicle struck the driver’s side of Ms. Golden’s vehicle.
36-year-old Nicholas Funderburk (Norman, AR) was driving the Ford vehicle and sustained injuries in the collision.
36-year-old Matt Stafford (Glenwood, AR) was driving the Dodge vehicle and sustained injuries in the accident. Additional injuries occurred to two female minor passengers traveling in the vehicle with Ms. Golden and Mr. Stafford.
Those injured were transported to Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, Baptist Health Medical Center in Arkadelphia, and Arkansas Children’s Hospital.
Conditions were reportedly clear and dry.
