Rainy Conditions Lead to Fatal Motorcycle Crash in Springdale

51-year-old Lisa L. Whitson (Paris, AR) was fatally injured in an accident that took place on Saturday, August 8, 2020.

Shortly before 1:00 p.m. Ms. Whitson was riding north on Interstate 49 in Springdale when heavy rain led to driver, 59-year-old John B. Hurst (Hartman, AR), attempting to pull their motorcycle (2008 Kawasaki Vulcan) off the roadway. Wet roads resulted in the motorcycle losing control and falling over near the Wagon Wheel Road exit.

Weather conditions were rainy and road conditions wet.
