Rainy Conditions Lead to Fatal Head-on Collision Near Corning

26-year-old Kenneth L. Freeman (Doniphan, Missouri) was fatally injured in an accident that occurred on Friday, February 26, 2021.

At approximately 7:30 p.m. Mr. Freeman was traveling north on Highway 67 north of Corning when his vehicle (2016 Chevrolet) crossed the centerline near County Road 141 and struck a southbound vehicle (2002 Ford pick-up) head-on.

26-year-old Peter Q. Scheelenberger (Poplar Bluff, MO) was injured in the collision and transported with injuries to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Weather conditions were rainy and road conditions wet at the time of the accident.
