Clay County Collision Claims One Life, Injures Four

An unidentified male minor was fatally injured in an accident that occurred on Tuesday, February 2, 2021.

Shortly before 1:30 p.m. the minor was a passenger in a vehicle traveling west on Clay County Road 406 between Rector and Knob when the vehicle (2007 Buick Lucerne) he was traveling in crossed the centerline and struck an eastbound vehicle (2018 Ford F250).

38-year-old Derrell Hill (Jonesboro, AR) and a second unidentified minor were injured in the collision. 54-year-old Mark Johnson (Rector, AR) and Shara Johnson (Rector, AR) were traveling in the eastbound vehicle and sustained injuries in the accident. Those injured were transported to Arkansas Methodist Medical Center.

Conditions were reportedly clear and dry.
