Fatal Crash in Monticello Claims the Life of Lacey Reed
47-year-old Herman David Evins, Jr. (Springdale, AR) was fatally injured in an accident that took place on Wednesday, March 31, 2021.
At approximately 5:13 a.m. Mr. Evins, Jr. was traveling east on East Robinson Avenue (Highway 412) when his scooter (Ice Bear) struck a piece of debris in the roadway. The accident occurred near the Sonic Drive-In located at 1328 East Robinson Avenue. Mr. Evins, Jr. was thrown from his scooter, and according to the police report and witness statement, “[Mr. Evins, Jr.] was struck by three different vehicles which all left the scene and have yet to be identified.”
Weather conditions were cloudy and road conditions dry at the time of the accident.
