23-year-old Braiden Howard (Joiner, AR) and 69-year-old Kenneth Paul Book (Jonesboro, AR) were both fatally injured in an accident that took place shortly before 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 26 in Poinsett County.

At approximately 8:49 a.m. Mr. Howard was driving north in the northbound lane of I-555 in a 2011 Ford truck. Mr. Book was driving south in the northbound lane of I-555 in a 2004 Ford truck. Near mile marker 21, Mr. Book’s vehicle struck Mr. Howard’s head-on.

Weather conditions at the time of the accident were a light drizzle and road conditions wet.
