Fatal Collision on US 79 Near Pine Bluff, AR
60-year-old Boyd B. Beaird (Mineral Springs, AR) was fatally injured in an accident on Tuesday, August 24, 2021.
At approximately 8:42 a.m. Mr. Beaird was traveling east on U.S. Highway 70W (Airport Road) in Pearcy when a vehicle (2005 Chrysler Pacifica) leaving a parking lot entered the roadway. Mr. Beaird’s vehicle (2015 Buick Regal) struck the rear of the Chrysler vehicle causing Mr. Beaird’s vehicle to leave the roadway and strike a tree.
Mr. Beaird was transported to CHI St. Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Conditions were reportedly clear and dry.
