Woman Struck on Highway 167 in Cave City
48-year-old Ashley Meeks (Crossett, AR) was fatally injured in an accident that took place on Friday, January 15, 2021.
At approximately 9:49 a.m. Ashley was traveling south on Highway 165 near Scott and Toltec when Ashley’s vehicle (2015 Ford F550) crossed the centerline for “reasons unknown.” The vehicle collided with a northbound 18-wheeler (2007 Kenworth) head-on in the northbound lane of traffic.
28-year-old William Jones (Stuttgart, AR) was driving the 18-wheeler at the time of the accident and was transported with injuries to Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock.
Conditions were reportedly clear and dry.
