Pedestrian Struck on 8th Street in Rogers

64-year-old Norman Dale Akins (Rogers, AR) was fatally injured in an accident that occurred on Thursday, December 10, 2020.

At approximately 8:42 p.m. Mr. Akins attempted to cross the 1900 block of 8th Street when he was struck by a southbound vehicle (2017 Toyota Tacoma) that was unable to stop before striking Mr. Akins. According to the report, Mr. Akins was “not at a crosswalk or near the corner of an intersection at the time of the collision.”

Conditions were reportedly clear and dry.
