Both Drivers Fatally Injured in Head-On Miller County Collision

29-year-old Laderick Franklin (Texarkana) and 39-year-old Louie Scott Holmes (El Dorado) were both fatally injured in a two-vehicle accident in the early morning hours of Friday, June 15. Shortly before 12:30 a.m. Mr. Franklin was headed east in a 2012 Jeep Compass on Highway 82 east of Texarkana in Miller County. Mr. Holmes was headed west in a 1996 Chevrolet S10 on Highway 82 when Mr. Franklin’s vehicle crossed the centerline and struck Mr. Holmes vehicle head-on. The Miller County coroner pronounced both drivers dead at the scene.
