Fatal Hit-&-Run in Rogers Claims Oklahoma Biker's Life

45-year-old Gary Stennet (Welling, OK) was fatally injured in an accident that occurred on Saturday, August 29, 2020.

At approximately 10:41 a.m. Mr. Stennet was traveling south on South 1st Street in Rogers approaching the intersection of S 1st Street and W Olrich Street/Veterans Parkway. Mr. Stennet’s motorcycle (2010 Harley FLHT) was struck by an eastbound motorcycle (2005 Honda MX250 Motocross Bike) that ran the red light at the intersection.

Following the collision, Mr. Stennet was thrown from his motorcycle and struck by an unidentified vehicle traveling north on South 1st Street. The driver of the unidentified vehicle fled the scene.

After the collision, the driver of the Honda motocross bike left the motorcycle and fled the scene, as well.

Weather conditions included heavy rain and road conditions were wet at the time of the accident.
