Collision with Big Truck Leads to Texarkana Driver's Death

51-year-old Harrison Neal (Texarkana) was fatally injured in an accident that took place on Tuesday, May 14, 2019.

Shortly after 3:00 p.m. Mr. Neal was driving south on U.S. Highway 71 South near Ashdown when his vehicle (2014 Dodge Charger) crossed the center line. Mr. Neal’s vehicle continued into northbound traffic and struck a 2005 Mack truck traveling north on Highway 71. The Mack truck, in turn, collided with a northbound 2013 Chevrolet Silverado.

36-year-old Tara French (Texarkana) was a passenger in Mr. Neal’s vehicle at the time of the accident. Ms. French was transported to St. Michael’s Hospital with injuries.

Conditions at the time of the accident were reportedly clear and dry.
