Woman Struck on Highway 167 in Cave City
49-year-old William W. Dawsey (Corning, AR) was fatally injured in an accident on Tuesday, February 1, 2022.
At approximately 2:03 p.m. Mr. Dawsey was traveling north on Highway 49 in the inside northbound lane of traffic. A vehicle (2022 Kia) traveling west on Highway 69 “failed to yield at a stop sign and pulled into the path” of Mr. Dawsey’s vehicle (2010 Toyota). Mr. Dawsey’s vehicle struck the front driver’s side of the westbound vehicle.
Mr. Dawsey sustained fatal injuries in the collision. 24-year-old Nigeria Jarod Hooks (Jonesboro, AR) sustained injuries in the accident and was transported with injuries to NEA Hospital.
Conditions were reportedly clear and dry.
