Wet Roads Result in Young Woman's Car Being Sandwiched Between a Tree and a Semi-Truck

25-year-old Guadalupe Del C. Castorena was fatally injured Sunday, February 11th just after 5:00 p.m. on the U.S. Highway 64 Bypass at Stanley Road in Vilonia.

Ms. Castorena’s vehicle, a 2004 Chevy Cavalier, struck the rear-end of another vehicle as it slowed for traffic. Ms. Castorena’s vehicle then slid sideways before being struck by an 18-wheeler. Both vehicles then careened off the south side of the highway. Ms. Castorena’s Chevrolet struck a tree before the 18-wheeler then once again struck her vehicle, sliding on top of Ms. Castorena’s car.

Conditions at the time of the accident were rainy and wet.
