Head-On Collision Near Walnut Ridge Claims Both Driver’s Lives

28-year-old Zachary Barton (Walnut Ridge, AR) and 38-year-old Nicholas McCarroll (Walnut Ridge, AR) were both fatally injured in an accident that took place on Sunday, June 21, 2020.

Shortly after 9:30 p.m. Mr. Barton was traveling north on U.S. Highway 63 near Portia and Walnut Ridge along with 28-year-old Elaina Barton (Walnut Ridge, AR). Mr. McCarroll was traveling south on Highway 63 when his vehicle (2016 Jeep Cherokee) crossed the centerline and struck Mr. Barton’s vehicle (2017 Dodge Caravan) head-on.

Ms. Barton was transported to Memphis with injuries.

Conditions were reportedly clear and dry.
