Wrong Way Vehicle on I-40 Leads to Fatal Wreck
26-year-old Taichan Sanders (Jonesboro, AR) was fatally injured in an accident that occurred on Wednesday, December 16, 2020.
At approximately 9:36 a.m. Mr. Sanders was traveling south on Interstate 555 near Marked Tree when he attempted to pass an 18-wheeler. Mr. Sanders’ vehicle (2007 Ford) struck the side of the 18-wheeler (2007 Kenworth) causing the vehicle to lose control and strike the guardrail. Mr. Sanders’ vehicle then crossed both lanes of traffic and left the roadway.
37-year-old Anthony Curry (Memphis, TN) sustained injures in the accident and was transported to Regional One Medical Center.
Conditions were reportedly clear and dry.
