Wrong Way Vehicle on I-40 Leads to Fatal Wreck
33-year-old Randall Howell (Hot Springs, AR) and 19-year-old Tyson Lopeman (Hot Springs, AR) were both fatally injured in an accident on Sunday, June 6, 2021.
At approximately 1:35 a.m. Mr. Howell and Mr. Lopeman were eastbound on Highway 70 East in Hot Springs west of the rest area. A Yamaha TTR motorcycle and a Honda CRF motorcycle “merged together and their front tires collided.” Both motorcycles laid down and both Mr. Howell and Mr. Lopeman were thrown from their bikes.
Conditions were reportedly clear and dry.
