19-year-old Russell Bailey Campbell and 18-year-old Tyler Leon Smith lost their lives in a fatal head-on collision Sunday morning, May 13. Shortly before 8:30 a.m. the vehicle Tyler Smith was driving crossed the centerline of U.S. Highway 62 just west of Harmon, Arkansas in Boone County. Their 2004 Dodge collided head-on with an eastbound 2008 Chevrolet driven by 26-year-old Anthony Paul Thornton, of Mountain Home. Both teenagers were killed in the accident. The other driver, Mr. Thornton, was transported to Mercy Medical Center.
