39-year-old Soundra Rivers (Hot Springs, AR) was fatally injured in an accident that took place on Saturday, November 14, 2020.
At approximately 8:37 p.m. Ms. Rivers was a passenger in a vehicle traveling west on Highway 84 in Umpire. The vehicle (2000 Chevrolet Tahoe) “failed to stop at a stop sign” where Highway 84 meets Highway 278. The vehicle crossed Highway 278 and left the roadway before striking an embankment.
30-year-old Shane House (New Hope, AR) and 42-year-old Michael Hunt (Little Rock, AR) sustained injuries in the accident and were transported to Howard Memorial Hospital.
Weather conditions were cloudy and road conditions were wet at the time of the accident.
