71-year-old Sojouring Smith was fatally injured in an accident that occurred on Highway 70 in West Memphis on Thursday, December 20.
At approximately 7:30 p.m. Ms. Smith was walking south across Highway 70. A westbound 2012 Chevrolet struck Ms. Smith approximately 450 east of the intersection of Highway 70 and North OK Street. Ms. Smith was not in a crosswalk according to the police report.
Conditions at the time of the accident were reportedly wet and raining.
