22-year-old Justin H Waldroop (Fort Smith) was fatally injured when his motorcycle (2009 Suzuki) collided with a 2004 Toyota on Sunday (June 17) shortly after 4:00 p.m. Lisa Roland (60) was driving east on Rye Hill Road in Fort Smith with two passengers (28-year-old April Roland and 29-year-old Amy Smith) and attempted to turn into a driveway. Mr. Waldroop was traveling west “at a high rate of speed” along with a passenger (21-year-old Christina Swanson). Mr. Waldroop lost control of the motorcycle and collided with the Toyota. Ms. Roland and all three passengers were injured and transported to Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith. Mr. Waldroop was pronounced dead at the scene.
