Sunday Afternoon Wreck on S University Ave Proves Fatal

37-year-old Shonda Catten (Jacksonville, AR) was fatally injured in an accident on Sunday, April 25, 2021.

At approximately 2:40 p.m. Ms. Catten was driving west on W 53rd Street in Little Rock when her vehicle (2002 Honda) attempted a lefthand turn onto S University Avenue. Ms. Catten’s vehicle pulled in front of and was struck on the driver’s side by a vehicle (2005 Chevrolet) traveling north on University Avenue.

39-year-old Marcus Jordan (Little Rock, AR) was a passenger in Ms. Catten’s vehicle. 18-year-old Maliek Brooks (Little Rock, AR) was driving the Chevrolet vehicle.

Those injured were transported to UAMS in Little Rock.

Conditions were reportedly clear and dry.
