48-year-old Michael Wagley (Clarksville, AR), 30-year-old Ethan Pelts (Clarksville, AR), and 29-year-old Austin Lofland (Horatio, AR) were fatally injured in an accident on Thursday, April 25, 2024.

Shortly before 6:30 a.m. Mr. Pelts was driving west on I-40 near Ozark when the vehicle (2018 GMC Terrain) lost control in rainy conditions and struck the guardrail on the north side of I-40. The vehicle was then struck by a westbound 18-wheeler in the righthand lane of traffic (2019 International). Mr. Pelts sustained fatal injuries in the collision.

Mr. Michael Wagley and Mr. Austin Lofland were passengers in the vehicle and sustained fatal injuries.

Weather conditions were rainy and road conditions wet at the time of the accident.
