Head-on Collision in Mansfield Claims the Life of Sherry Miller

77-year-old Sherry Miller (Hot Springs, AR) was fatally injured in an accident on Sunday, May 9, 2021.

At approximately 10:00 a.m. Ms. Sherry Miller was a passenger in a vehicle (2013 Honda Accord) traveling north on Highway 71. Near State Highway 378 a southbound vehicle (1999 Chevrolet Silverado) crossed the centerline and sideswiped a northbound GMC Sierra before continuing in the northbound lane and colliding head-on with Ms. Miller’s vehicle.

Both Ms. Miller’s vehicle and the southbound Chevrolet vehicle left the roadway.

82-year-old Gordon Miller (Hot Springs, AR) was driving the Honda Accord and sustained injuries in the collision. 84-year-old John Butterbaugh (Springdale, AR) was driving the Chevrolet vehicle and sustained injuries in the collision. Those injured were transported to UAMS in Little Rock and Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith.

Conditions were reportedly clear and dry.
