94-Year-Old Katharina McGrew Loses Life in Manila Car Wreck

94-year-old Katharina McGrew (Manila, AR) was fatally injured in an accident that occurred in Mississippi County on Sunday, February 24, 2019.

Shortly before 5:00 p.m., Ms. McGrew was the passenger in a 2012 Ford F-150 traveling south on Lake Street in Manila. 80-year-old Dale McGrew (Manila, AR) was driving the vehicle. Ms. McGrew’s vehicle failed to yield at the stop sign at the intersection of Lake Street and Highway 18 and struck a 2017 Freightliner semi-truck traveling west on Highway 18.

Conditions at the time of the accident were reportedly clear and dry.
