Rainy Conditions Result in Fatal Monticello Car Wreck

67-year-old Peggy Hallman (Monticello, AR) was fatally injured in an accident on Wednesday, March 30, 2022.

At approximately 2:20 p.m. Ms. Hallman was traveling east on U.S. 278 when her vehicle (2004 Ford Explorer) lost control on wet roads and in rainy conditions. Ms. Hallman’s vehicle crossed the centerline colliding with a westbound vehicle (2004 Jeep LCF).

27-year-old Adam Willis (Hot Springs, AR) and an unidentified minor were both injured in the accident. Those injured were transported with injuries to Drew Memorial, Baptist Health Medical Center, and Arkansas Children’s Hospital.
