29-year-old Michael Anthony Petite (Hector, AR) and an unidentified minor were both fatally injured in an accident that occurred on Thursday, May 9, 2019.

At approximately 4:23 p.m. Mr. Petite and a minor were both passengers in a 2004 Ford Taurus traveling north on State Highway 27 near Scottsville. The vehicle crossed the center line of the highway and collided head-on with a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado traveling south on Highway 27.

The driver of the Ford vehicle, 26-year-old Kayla Rose Petite (Hector, AR), and the driver of the Chevrolet vehicle, 68-year-old Samuel Lee Fisher (Hector, AR), were both transported with injuries to UAMS and Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock.

Conditions at the time of the accident were reportedly clear and dry.
