Fatal Wreck in Conway Claims the Life of Aretha Swillie

46-year-old Aretha Swillie (Conway, AR) was fatally injured in an accident on Sunday, October 11, 2023.

At approximately 12:41 p.m. Ms. Swillie was a passenger in a vehicle (2014 Chevy Silverado) traveling east on Highway 64 in Conway. Ms. Swillie’s vehicle rear-ended another eastbound vehicle (2007 Honda Civic) near Hogan Lane. The impact drove the Honda vehicle into the westbound lane of Highway 64 where it collided with a westbound vehicle (2018 Kia Optima).

Ms. Swillie sustained fatal injuries in the collision.

There were four additional drivers and passengers injured in the accident. 34-year-old Christopher Waddle (Morrilton, AR), 37-year-old Shirley Rensel (Conway, AR), 42-year-old Christopher Swillie (Morrilton, AR), and 67-year-old Tameria Franklin (Menifee, AR) all sustained injuries in the collision.

Those injured were transported to Conway Regional Hospital.
