I-30 Accident Claims Malvern Man’s Life

60-year-old Kenneth Williams (Malvern, AR) was fatally injured in an accident on Tuesday, April 26, 2022.

At approximately 6:10 p.m. Mr. Williams was standing outside his vehicle in the median of Interstate 30 between Malvern and Arkadelphia when he was struck by an eastbound vehicle (2017 GMC). The eastbound GMC vehicle rear-ended another eastbound vehicle (2002 Chevrolet Suburban) near mile marker 86 on I-30. The eastbound GMC vehicle then collided with an unoccupied 2021 Nissan that was stopped before leaving the roadway and striking Mr. Williams in the median.

64-year-old Michael Smith (Arkadelphia, AR) was driving the Chevrolet Suburban and sustained injuries in the collision. Mr. Smith was transported to Baptist Health Medical Center in Arkadelphia.

Conditions were reportedly clear and dry.
