21-yr-old & 19-yr-old Lose Life in Clay County Collision

21-year-old Kaytlyn Herndon (Jonesboro) and 19-year-old Bonnie Taylor (Brookland) were fatally injured in a two-vehicle collision on Wednesday, June 13. Ms. Herndon (driver) and Ms. Taylor (passenger) were traveling north on Highway 135 in Corning in a 2012 Honda just before 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning. Their vehicle attempted to make a left hand turn onto Highway 62 but came into the path of a 2013 Timpte tractor-trailer headed east on Highway 62. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
