Accident on Fire Tower Road in Hardy Claims Two Lives

57-year-old Jeffery D. Bennett (Hardy, AR) and 56-year-old Vickie K. Bivins (Salem, AR) were both fatally injured in an accident on Sunday, June 20, 2021.

At approximately 7:00 p.m. Mr. Bennett was driving west on Fire Tower Road approaching U.S. Highway 63 when his vehicle (2005 Chevrolet) failed to stop at the intersection with U.S. 63. Mr. Bennett and Ms. Bivins’ vehicle overturned twice before coming to a rest on Wolf Hollow Circle.

Ms. Vickie Bivins was a passenger in the vehicle.

Conditions were reportedly clear and dry.
