Icy Roads Claim the Life of Both Driver and Passenger in Jacksonville

56-year-old Mearlon Noah (Cabot, AR) and 57-year-old Nelson Rivera (North Little Rock, AR) were both fatally injured in an accident that occurred on Wednesday, November 14 at approximately 9:47 p.m.

Mr. Rivera was driving a 1999 Honda south on Highway 67/167 near mile marker 10 when he hit an icy patch and lost control of the vehicle. Their vehicle left the road and struck a tree. Mr. Rivera and the passenger, Mr. Noah, were both fatally injured in the accident.

Weather conditions were cloudy at the time of the accident, and road conditions were icy.
