Driver Loses Life as 18-Wheeler Overturns on I-30 near Benton

57-year-old Jack Smith (Pasadena, Texas) was fatally injured in an accident that took place on Tuesday, March 10, 2020.

At approximately 11:10 a.m. Mr. Smith was traveling east on I-30 when his semi-truck (2020 Kenworth) left the interstate and struck the guardrail near mile marker 108. Mr. Smith’s 18-wheeler continued on the shoulder until it left the roadway and struck a tree, overturning.

Conditions were reportedly clear and dry.
