Two Teenagers Fatally Injured in Saturday Car Accident

18-year-old Kaylynn Jade Hartley (White Hall, AR) and 18-year-old Hunter Allan Thompson (Rison, AR) were both fatally injured in an accident on Saturday, September 11, 2021.

At approximately 4:45 a.m. Ms. Hartley was driving a vehicle (2016 Honda Accord) north on U.S. 63 near Rison when the vehicle crossed the centerline. Ms. Hartley’s vehicle struck a southbound vehicle (2020 Hyundai) on its driver’s side causing the Hyundai vehicle to overturn.

Mr. Thompson (Rison, AR) was a passenger in the vehicle at the time of the accident.

50-year-old Joseph Lorenzo Gonzales (Houston, TX) was driving the southbound vehicle at the time of the accident and sustained injuries in the collision. Mr. Gonzales was transported with injuries to Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff.
